ASIA PACIFIC ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS SDN BHD (ASPEC), established in 1991, is a professional and wholly-owned Malaysian environmental consultancy firm. It was established in response to an urgent need for multi-disciplinary consultancy services in the field of environment for development projects in the country.

The primary aim of the firm is to provide the most pragmatic, cost-effective and comprehensive environmental consultancy services including training covering landuse, terrestrial, aquatic and marine biological resources, local and regional planning, socio-economy, hydrology and water resources and digital mapping. The firm also provides specialists support to local and international consultancy groups carrying out in-depth studies of various aspects of the environment.

In keeping with national and international trends, attitudes and aspirations of sustainable development, and the Environmental Quality Act 1974, the firm has developed expertise in environmental impact assesment, environmental monitoring, auditingand environmental consultancies. To assist in such evaluations, the firm has developed its own environmental databank which contains information on climate, soils, geology, forestry, flora, fauna, fisheries, tides and marine resources, water resources and landuse. This large databank is our most valuable asset and the information is now available to service and support other consultancy firms and development companies.

ASPEC also maintains adequate hardware and software development facilities for water, air, noise and traffic modeling studies as well as equipment for a wide range of environmental monitoring in field projects and to support other consultancy companies. The firm is also associated with many local and international consultancy firms and individual experts to support our wide range of environmental consultancy services.
